A little help along the way.

Send entries from AI apps with MCP

Use App Connect to send takeaways from compatible AI apps to MindDrive as new drafts or journal submissions, with the folders and saving mode you choose.

Reviewed

App Connect brings information into MindDrive in two ways. Import tools let you choose details from connected apps while you write. MCP connections let a compatible AI app send a new entry to MindDrive from a conversation or task in that app.

What MCP means

MCP is a shared way for AI apps to connect to other tools. You do not need to write code to use a compatible connection. Think of it as a way to ask another app to put something worth remembering into your journal.

Connection options depend on the AI app, your plan and the features it offers. Look for its tools, apps or connectors settings to connect MindDrive.

What you can send

You might save a daily recap, a useful idea, a conversation takeaway or a plan you want to look back on. Ask the other app to turn the information into an entry and choose a destination folder. To save something in several folders, ask for a separate entry in each one.

For example, you could ask, “Summarize what I worked on today and send it to my Work folder in MindDrive.” Check the other app's response to see whether the entry was sent successfully.

Every send starts something new

MCP creates a new draft or a new submission. It never adds to a draft you have already started.

With draft saving, review and edit the new draft in MindDrive before submitting it. With automatic saving, a new entry goes through MindDrive's journal submission flow. Use the saving option that suits the connection.

Schedules live in the other app

If your AI app offers scheduled tasks, you can use its scheduling features. Availability and confirmation steps depend on that app. MindDrive receives the entries it sends; connecting through MCP does not create a schedule inside MindDrive.

Read App Connect for imports while writing, or entries and drafts for the journal writing flow.
