A little help along the way.

Continue and manage conversations

Reopen saved chats, manage a conversation and understand retries and long-chat loading.

Reviewed

Use Chat History to return to a saved conversation. Continuing the same chat keeps the discussion together. Starting a new chat gives you a separate conversation without deleting earlier chats.

Find a saved chat

Open Chat History, browse or search the list, then select the conversation you want. Allow it to finish loading before sending another message. Check its title and recent messages if several chats cover similar subjects.

The current chat's menu includes New Chat, Rename Chat, Export Chat and Delete Chat when those actions are available. Use a recognizable name to make a conversation easier to find again.

Stop or retry a reply

Use the stop control while a reply is being generated if you want to interrupt it. Check the message box for restored text before typing the same question again.

Use a reply's retry control when you want another response. Read its confirmation first, especially when retrying an earlier point in a conversation. Follow the available Cancel Retry action if you want to leave the retry flow.

If a request fails, check your connection and the message shown. Avoid repeatedly sending the same question while an earlier request is still unresolved.

Continue a long conversation

MindDrive may show Compacting conversation... while preparing context for a longer chat. This does not mean the saved transcript has been deleted.

Use Earlier messages when it appears to load older parts of the conversation. A loading or retry state for older messages is separate from the newest reply.

Export or delete

Export a chat if you want a readable copy before deleting it. Check the deletion confirmation carefully. Clearing cross-chat memory is a different action and leaves saved chats in place.

See AI Memory for that distinction and exports for sharing and storage choices.
