Export entries and manage AI data

Exported entries and chats are readable files. Choose a storage or sharing destination you trust. An export is a copy and does not delete the original content in MindDrive.

Export entries or chats together

1. Open Settings, Terms & Privacy, then Manage Your Data.
2. Under Export Your Entries, choose all folders or select the folders you want.
3. Choose whether to include Markdown formatting, then select Export Entries.
4. Use Export Your Chats for a file containing saved chats.
5. Finish the device's save or share flow and check the resulting file.

The bulk exports create a text file or Markdown file, with each entry or chat in its own section. Wait for the export to finish before leaving the screen.

Export a single item

Use an entry's export controls for that entry. For a conversation, open its Chat menu and choose Export Chat to create a readable chat file. The available actions and formatting choices depend on the export surface.

Check the saved copy before deleting anything from MindDrive. A cancelled share sheet is not a completed export.

Delete selected AI data

Manage Your Data offers separate controls for MindDrive Chats, Folder Memory, User Memory, Home Insights and Editor Prompts, plus All AI Data. Read the selected card's confirmation before continuing.

These controls remove different material. MindDrive Chats includes saved chats, history, memory and exclusions. Folder Memory includes folder summaries, context notes and editor prompts. User Memory includes cross-folder summaries and journal memory exclusions.

Clearing cross-chat memory does not delete your saved chats. Future memory can be built again from chats you keep. Manage Your Data offers separate controls for chats and other AI-generated data, so read the confirmation for the specific data you want to remove.

For individual remembered details, use AI Memory. Its exclusions and Save action offer a more specific choice than deleting an entire category of AI data.
