A little help along the way.

Ask questions with MindDrive chat

Choose broad General Memory or selected-folder Deep Analysis and check the original sources behind replies.

Reviewed

MindDrive chat can help you revisit your entries, compare experiences, talk things through and ask general questions. When an answer links to an entry, open it to check the original context. AI responses and inferred moods can be incomplete or wrong. They are not a diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for professional advice.

Choose a mode

General Memory is useful when you want to ask across folders with AI Chat & Search enabled. You do not need to choose folders before beginning.

Deep Analysis focuses on one to four folders you select. Choose one folder for a focused subject, or several when you want to compare related parts of your life.

These controls have different jobs. Turning off AI Chat & Search excludes the folder from those broad searches. Deep Analysis can still use the folder when you explicitly select it. These switches do not mean that all processing of an entry is disabled.

Ask a useful question

Start with what you want to understand and add a date, person or subject when it helps. For example, ask “What helped after difficult Work days last month?” or “Compare my recent Work and Sleep entries.” Follow up when the first response needs more context.

Chat can also answer general questions. If a response should be grounded in something you wrote, name that context rather than assuming the answer has used a particular entry.

Check the sources

When a reply links to an entry, open it and compare the original wording with the response. A reply can summarize or connect information, so the source remains useful when a detail matters.

If context is missing

Confirm that the writing was submitted and has finished processing. Check the folder's AI Chat & Search setting for General Memory, or explicitly select the appropriate folder in Deep Analysis. Review your AI Memory choices if a remembered detail was excluded.

Use conversation history to reopen an existing chat or start a separate discussion.
