Add calendar events and suggested moments
Choose calendar events for an entry date or selected Apple Journaling Suggestions details on supported iOS devices.
Reviewed
The calendar tool and Apple Journaling Suggestions provide different ways to start writing about a day. Both leave you with text to review, rather than automatically submitting a journal entry.
Add calendar events
- Open an entry and check its date.
- Open the editor's import tools and choose the calendar tool.
- Allow calendar access if your device requests it.
- Select the events you want from the available calendars for that date.
- Choose whether to summarize, then import and review the text.
Selected events can come from more than one calendar. Check the chosen events before importing, especially when several calendars contain copies of the same appointment.
With Summarize Events on, MindDrive uses AI to turn selected events into a short first-person account. With it off, the available event details are listed more directly. You can edit either result before saving or submitting.
If an event is missing, confirm the entry date and check whether that calendar is available on your device and included in the permission you granted.
Use an Apple suggested moment
Apple Journaling Suggestions is an iOS feature. MindDrive receives the suggestion details you select and creates a text draft. This does not add photo or video attachments to the journal.
On supported iOS devices, use the Apple suggestion entry point when MindDrive is offered, then select the details in Apple's picker. Finish any required sign-in or unlock step. This is separate from the editor's calendar button and is not an Android import tool.
MindDrive needs an active folder for the resulting draft. Review the opened draft, its folder and date before saving or submitting it. If the suggestion included media, the draft may describe that media without attaching the files themselves.
See entries and drafts for the final save steps.
