A little help along the way.

Authenticator codes and account recovery

Troubleshoot six-digit codes, a changed phone or lost authenticator access using your saved recovery codes.

Reviewed

An authenticator app creates a changing six-digit code for your MindDrive account. MindDrive asks for that code as an additional sign-in check after your usual sign-in method. It is different from your four-digit App Lock PIN and from an email-verification link.

Check the code you are entering

Use the current code from the MindDrive entry in your authenticator app. If it is about to change, wait for the next code before entering it. Check that you have not selected another account's authenticator entry.

If codes are repeatedly rejected, check that you selected the MindDrive entry in your authenticator and that your phone's date and time are set automatically. Do not delete your authenticator entry while troubleshooting. If neither the authenticator nor an unused recovery code is available, contact support for the available next steps.

For provider-specific steps, see your authenticator's official guidance, including Google Authenticator help.

Use a saved recovery code

At the authenticator prompt, choose Account Recovery. Enter the account email and an unused recovery code you saved during setup, then follow the remaining sign-in steps.

Keep your recovery codes somewhere you can access if you lose your phone. Each code can be used once. Account Recovery signs you in with an unused saved code and leaves the authenticator connected. After recovering access, review Manage Authenticator before relying on a new phone for future sign-ins.

If your authenticator has several MindDrive entries, avoid deleting them while you are still identifying the working one. Keep a device that is already signed in available while checking your account details.

After changing phones

Verify that the new phone's authenticator produces working MindDrive codes before relying on it. The authenticator provider's transfer process and MindDrive's account recovery are separate steps.

If neither route is available, use the website support form. Explain where sign-in stops and which recovery options remain available. Never include the code, setup key or recovery-code list in your report.
