App Lock, PIN and biometrics
Understand your four-digit PIN, supported biometrics and the different PIN recovery actions.

App Lock protects MindDrive when you leave and return to the app. You can use a four-digit PIN and supported device biometrics. The PIN is separate from your account password and authenticator code.
Find the App Lock controls
Open Settings, then Security, and choose the App Lock control. Review the current protection settings and follow the on-screen steps to set or change your PIN.
Use Face ID on supported iOS devices, or the supported face/fingerprint option on Android when it is available. Android biometric availability depends on the device and its enrolled security options. Not every face-unlock method qualifies.
Your account password is still the credential for email-and-password sign-in. A changing six-digit authenticator code is a separate sign-in check. Enter the credential requested by the current screen.
If you forgot your PIN
Forgot PIN starts a verified reset and replaces the App Lock PIN across your devices. Clear PIN from Device removes the PIN saved on that device and signs you out. It does not reset the account's PIN or turn off the App Lock settings on your other devices.
Choose the action that matches what you need. A verified PIN reset changes the account PIN. Clearing the local PIN is a way to remove that device's saved PIN and return to sign-in. Make sure you can use your account's sign-in method before clearing it.
If biometric unlock is unavailable
Use the PIN option offered by the app. Check the biometric setup in your device settings before returning to MindDrive. If you cannot use the PIN either, follow the verified Forgot PIN flow.
For problems reaching your account after signing out, use sign-in recovery. For a six-digit code request, use authenticator help. These are different recovery paths.
